I thought I'd start of this update with a picture that I took. I saw this on a car the other day & snapped a picture of it real quick! I thought it was great!

I love it! It's so true!

Many of you have asked in so many words what I've been up to. :o) Well I guess since it's been about a month since I have really posted anything on here I should catch you all up.

I have decided to continue my schooling at the University of South Florida. They have about 5 different campuses, one of which is in Lakeland (which is a perfect location for me!) I had previously thought about attending classes at the Tampa campus (the main campus) but have decided that it will be better in more ways than one if I go ahead and take classes in Lakeland. The main reason though, is that I won't have to move & waste the extra $ on housing. Therefore, I'll be less 'in the hole' when I graduate than if I moved!

I plan on getting a (BSW)Bacholers in Social Work. As most of you (I think) know I've already received my AA. Well, I've official receieved it but as of today I still have no hard proof that I have it because my previous school has still not sent it to me (but then that's another story).

So I will begin class this coming spring semester. Please keep me in your prayers as I continue my education. I'll probably be taking summer classes so I can get as much done as possible! I also am looking into this center for the deaf & hard of hearing that offers American Sign Language Classes. I've always wanted to incorprate ASL in my plans, so maybe this would be a great place to take classes. It's taught be a Deaf Lady...so it'd be complete submersion ASL!

Well, that's what I've been up to. I'm just working right now and getting things set up for next semester. I recently started visiting this church down the road from my house, which I'm really enjoying. I've also been going to a "small group" once a week. It's kinda funny because the small group is made up of college-aged ladys but not all of us go to the same church. I dunno maybe that's not funny but I think it's a little unique since most the time you meet at small groups with people from the same church. But its fun.

I think that's it for now. I'm sure there is more & more I could talk about but then I'd be here all day. It's great to be able to just get on here & tell everyone what's going on since we don't see each other as often as I'd like!

And I'll leave you with a picture of me & my sister when she came home for her Fall Break.

Love you!

Darker

I got my hair done on Thursday and I went a little darker! I've been slowly going darker every time I've gone in to get my hair done. This is the darkest yet. I like it a lot.

The first thing my brother said when he saw it was "Are you trying to look like you aren't adopted!" LOL I thought it was pretty funny since when I had lighter (blonde) hair I looked like I was adopted when I was with the family...now...I guess I look more like the fam. lol I thought that was funny! Just thought I'd share the new 'do.

What da ya think??

Updates from me

Surprisingly this is a post with absolutely no pics in it what-so-ever. I know that might surprise you since this is the first time in along time that I've had a post with just text.

I just wanted to catch everyone up on what I've been up to lately. Well I have officially graduated with my AA as of August 10th. I applied to two different schools, Flagler and USF (University of South Florida) to continue. I've just been waiting for them to get all the paperwork in and everything. I just had a chance a few minutes ago to check my application status on USF's website and this is what I got:
Congratulations! You have been admitted to the University of South Florida!

The track that I was looking at going into with Flagler and USF were similar but also different. I wasn't sure which I'd prefer most...but I've prayed that which ever direction was the best for me to take, that the Lord would open those doors for me. So I'm kinda excited I think the USF route is the one for me! I haven't gotten anything in the mail yet about everything (I'm sure it'll be here soon) but I just had to share the news.

Please do keep me in your prayers during this time, there's a lot of stuff I'm going to have to figure out! Thanks so much for all of your support!

And to other things....Meg was able to come home for a little visit this weekend. It was nice to have her here & her kitty was one happy camper! Well thanks for stopping by...I'll probably have pics to post soon & get back to the norm! lol

Love ya!

Meg Packing & Her Going-Away Dinner

Megan had everything packed & ready to go Wednesday night to move on Thrusday. We planned a special going-away dinner for her. We thought it would be fun to order pizza & we ordered a huge chocolate-chip icecream cake (it looked like an oversized chocolate chip icecream sandwinch thing).

Megan had requested that we all be at home for a family dinner with everyone there before she left (which can be difficult living with a bunch of adult with different committments) and the Lord worked it out that Wednesday night (the night before she moved to her dorm) that everyone of us were at home, no one working, out etc. it was nice! It was kind of funny because we were sitting at our long beautiful dinning room table with our "special" dishes & we were eating pizza & drinking sprite! It was great, pretty funny! We had a nice sit down dinner together (Me, Meg, Dad, Mom, Andrew & GGmama) Then we enjoyed watching the huge cake being cut b/c that was work in itself! But mom did a great job cutting us all pieces (it was really hard to cut b/c of the double cookie & frozen icecream. It was entertaining for us that's for sure.

Here are some pictures I snapped from Wednesday night!

Gift baskets that I made for Meg with different random stuff that she might need for her dorm

She's got the boxes packed

Megan's delicious dessert (It says "Good Luck Megan" in chocolate!)

Yes that's right we brought out the fancy dishes for this special dinner (even though it was pizza! ) hehe

Angel declared that she wanted to go with Megan in her gift basket
